President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev sent a special congratulatory letter.
The letter stated:
“Almaty is the golden cradle of our freedom, a blessed home for creative youth. Many great figures who have made an invaluable contribution to expanding the scope of our civilization grew up in this city. Indeed, this historic city, which has become a cornerstone of our native culture, is regarded not only as a spiritual center of the Kazakh nation but also of the Turkic states.”
As part of the ceremonial event, the key to the Youth Capital, symbolizing brotherhood, trust, and new opportunities, was handed over by the representatives of Lankaran, Azerbaijan, the 2024 Youth Capital, to the youth of Almaty, continuing the tradition of the brotherhood relay.
It should be noted that the international festival is held with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information of Kazakhstan and the Akimat of Almaty.
The festival will last for two days, with delegates from Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, and Uzbekistan, member states of the Turkic Council, sharing experiences in youth policy, entrepreneurship, civic engagement, and the development of social initiatives.
Additionally, meetings of young leaders and entrepreneurs will take place.
